Introduction to SLC development in 11-16 yr olds

Course Content

This is a 2 hour introductory course into speech, language and communication needs in key stage 3 and 4. It will cover:

• Speech, Language and Communication Developmental milestones in ages 11-16.
• Effects of SLCN on life chances.
• Identifying children with SLCN in secondary schools.
• Typical SLC needs in key stage 3 and 4.
• Supporting children with SLCN in key stage 3 and 4.
