Pay what you can afford!
Seaside SaLT has a small Therapy Support Fund (funded by the Postcode Neighbourhood trust). This can be used to subsidise speech and language therapy sessions when required.
Parents can choose to pay 100%, 80%, 60%, 40%, 20% or 10% of the standard charge.
We do not ‘means test’ our clients when they request support from the therapy support fund, we rely on families being open and honest about their circumstances. We recognise that circumstances change – please contact us if you have any difficulties paying an invoice. If your circumstances change and you feel you can pay more, please let us know. This will help us provide services to other families in need.
Fees
Examples of the cost at each of these levels are detailed below:

Travel Fees
Travel is not included in The Light House Scheme. Travel will be charged at full price or you can opt to come to our clinic room in Scarborough.

YES – Your child can receive NHS and private speech therapy at the same time. Accessing private support will not affect your place on an NHS waiting list or future NHS input.
No – The level of financial contribution you choose does not affect the quality of therapy, the time spent with your child, the professionalism of our service, or the thoroughness of assessment.
Every child receives the same high standard of care, clinical expertise, and individualised support — regardless of the percentage their family contributes.
Please Note: Seaside SLT reserve the right to pause the Lighthouse Scheme at any time depending on funding.
